General Information

Immunophenotyping can be performed on fresh blood or bone marrow drawn into EDTA. Requests should be discussed with a Haematologist. Interim results are available the same day if received in the laboratory before 2pm however a final report is only available after Consultant review.

Notes

Limitations - (i) Samples should be as fresh as possible. Samples more than 48 hours old are unlikely to have sufficient cell viability and therefore will not be processed (ii) Samples must be sufficient enough to contain adequate white cell numbers for analysis.
