Specimen should be seperated and frozen within 1 hour of venepuncture

 Specimen must be separated and frozen if unable to deliver within one hour.

Arrange for sample to be separated at an interim site and subsequentlytransport frozen to lab

To be stored at -70oC or below.

CH50 results should always be interpreted in conjunction with Complement levels.

Reference Range

       Normal range 42 -95U/mL,

      Low 30 -42 U/mL,

      Absent <30 U/mL.
