Patient Preparation

Urine samples for non-culture tests

  • Collect urine in a clean container and transfer to a 20ml white top sterile sample container.


Any positive results are sent away to ref. lab for confirmation.Significant results telephoned. Positive results reported to CCDC.

Urgent samples can be tested daily by prior arrangement with the lab.

Tests not appearing on the UKAS Schedule of Accreditation currently remain outside of our scope of accreditation. However, these tests have been validated to the same high standard as accredited tests and are performed by the same trained and competent staff.
